I can't recall what year it was, but being both authors we enthusiastically exchanged ideas and read each other's work. Despite her ongoing illnesses, she kept going and a while back she wrote a sparkling review for my latest book which I wrote as Jean Moran. I think I was one of the very first people to read Piper, all neatly typed on A4 paper. I loved it, meant it and told her so. We did speak about meeting up one more time - me having to travel to her of course. RIP. A great person and although we only conversed on line, the warmth between us old friends was still there.
